Chicken New Yorker


  • 1 boneless chicken breast
  • 1 rasher smoked back or streaky bacon
  • 25g grated mature Cheddar cheese
  • 5 asparagus tips
  • HP Texan BBQ sauce


  1. Top a char grilled chicken breast with smoked streaky bacon and mature Cheddar cheese.
  2. Glaze under a hot grill until golden, transfer to serving plate.
  3. Blanch asparagus tips in boiling water, drain and season well.
  4. Serve HP Texan BBQ sauce as a dip pot.

Serving suggestion:

Why not fill the chicken breast with cheese and bacon and breadcrumb before cooking for a twist on a classic Kiev
